Cuisinart Convection Oven TOB-195 Review
The Cuisinart Convection Oven TOB-195
My wife and I purchased the Cuisinart convection oven about a year ago. Since then, we have fallen in love it every time we use it...
...which is A LOT.
Despite the common association with a toaster oven and a smaller family, we have a family of 6. Our 4 kids range from 7 years old to 16.
With the addition of my wife and I, that makes big hungry family. When the consider that our two teenage boys consume almost twice as much as the average adult, that complicates matters even more.
The TOB-195 Cuisinart convection oven makes it easy to cook a Totino's PIzza without heating up the entire kitchen, makes it great for energy savings. Our teenagers can go through a few of those per day (it's a good thing those pizzas are cheap).
Not only that, but the TOB-195 Cuisinart convection oven also makes for a less complicated dinner time, too. If we need some toasted garlic bread to go along with the lasagna that's baking in the oven, we don't have to worry about finding room in the oven for more stuff.
Needless to say, this past Thanksgiving, our TOB-195 Cuisinart convection oven was one of the many things we were thankful for. We were able to bake the rolls, and the stuffing in our TOB-195 oven, all without making room in the main oven (there was no room in the oven) where the turkey was baking.
The Features of the TOB-195 Cuisinart Convection Oven
The TOB-195 takes less than 3 minutes to preheat to 350 degrees. If you are concerned about the environment (or just your electric bill) this oven is for you.
This Cuisinart convection oven looks very professional and heavy duty. It is pure stainless steel all over, and it looks very nice in our kitchen with our other stainless steel appliances. Being stainless steel makes it durable. Heck, our 6 kids have been abusing it for over a year now and it still looks brand new.
The entire inside is non-stick. This makes clean-up a breeze. Take a wet towel or dishcloth to the inside of the unit and you are done. No harsh cleaners are needed.
The TOB-195 Cuisinart convection oven has a digital temperature display and temperature alarm (to let you know when it's certain temperature. And, while I'm on the subject of displays, the TOB-195 has one the best I've seen. The controls are very easy and conveniently below the oven door.
Although this is a personal preference but, I like the fact that this oven doesn't use microwaves to cook the food. I know that it's controversial, but some people believe that eating microwaved food is not the best for your health. Conspiracy theory? Maybe. But, using our Cuisinart convection oven to reheat our food when possible makes my wife and I feel better. We still use the microwave sometimes, but not as much.
