Cordless Leaf Blower Review - Black & Decker NS118 18-Volt Cordless Electric Broom Hard Surface Sweeper

A decent cordless leaf blower for a great price...
Today, I'm reviewing a Cordless Leaf Blower by Black & Decker (the Black & Decker NS118 18-Volt Cordless Electric Broom Hard Surface Sweeper, to be exact).
In case you haven't noticed, I'm a big fan of cordless tools and appliances.
When, cordless isn't a feasible option, I usually choose to plug into an outlet and run a long extension cord.
I tend to shy away from gasoline, as those tools are typically louder, messier, more prone to failure, and emit fumes and toxins into the air that I'm breathing.
However, as much as I love going cordless, I can't say that I'm totally in love with the Black & Decker NS118 18-Volt Cordless Electric Broom as a cordless leaf blower.
Sure, this has enough power to blow leaves off of a deck, patio, sidewalk or driveway... as long as the leaves are not wet. But, it does not have enough power to blow leaves out of the grass.
But, I guess that's what teenagers are for.
I will say, however, that this little cordless leaf blower does a fine job at being readily available when I need it to quickly blow the grass clippings off the sidewalk or driveway. It also does an amazing job at "sweeping" the patio without having to move our deck chairs or the grill.
So, yes, this cordless leaf blower certainly has some merits, to be sure... but, a full-blown leaf blower, it is not. For that job, I rely on my Toro 51599 Ultra 12 Amp Variable Speed Electric Blower/Vacuum With Metal Impeller.
In conclusion, if you are needing a something to perform little, quick clean-up jobs without having to find and unroll the extension cord, the Black & Decker NS118 18-Volt "Cordless Leaf Blower" may be the right fit for you. It's convenient, quick and great for hard surfaces (not grass).
