The Budweiser Neon Sign - Perfect for the Bar, Restaurant, or Basement

Budweiser Neon Sign. Is It Art, or Just Tacky?
When I was in college, my apartment had a Budweiser neon sign in the living room.
It hung on the wall behind the well-worn black leather couch for about 3 years.
I purchased my Budweiser neon sign at a garage sale held by some other college students (seniors, I think) who were moving, and couldn't take it with them.
If I remember correctly, I believe I paid $100 for it (which is like $1000 when you are a broke college kid) and I thought that I was getting a bargain.
It was my prized possession through college, and my good luck charm to boot. I attribute the success of many wild parties at my place to the distinct, warm glow of my Budweiser neon sign.
When I graduated and got a job in the real world, somehow my beloved Budweiser neon sign made it's way into storage.
It just didn't have a place in the apartment at the time (and my girlfriend wouldn't budge in the negotiations), so I wrapped it in a few towels to protect it from breakage, put it in a heavy cardboard box, and stored it in my storage unit.
As it always does, life gets away from you... and the things that you once held most dear, and fall to the back of your mind.
Nine years passed.
Then, finally, I purchased my own home.
It had a garage, a basement, a yard - everything I modern suburban home should have.
Since my new home had a basement, I decided to turn it into the "man cave", where men could be men: play poker, watch the games on a giant television, drink, shoot pool, etc.
And, since my house had more room for storage then my apartment, I could finally pull my things out of the storage unit and start to sort through them.
You can probably guess where I'm going next.
During the moving of things out of the storage unit, I FOUND MY BUDWEISER NEON SIGN!
My precious Budweiser neon sign was still wrapped up in the towels, in perfect condition after almost 10 years. It was just like I had remembered it.
It was, of course, perfect for my basement. I hung my old Budweiser neon sign near the pool table.
It was great. My old buddy (the Budweiser neon sign) in my new home. Reunited at last.
About 2 months later, after my basement was complete, I threw a house warming. It was a blast... and I can't help but attribute part of that success to my re-discovered Budweiser neon sign.
